This CEU course equips mental health professionals with the knowledge, skills, and tools to integrate mindfulness-based interventions into their clinical practice with trauma-informed care for military veterans and service members who have experienced trauma. The course covers the importance of cultural competence and therapist self-care, common mindfulness-based interventions, the benefits of mindfulness in trauma treatment, and practical techniques for integrating mindfulness into clinical practice. Participants will also gain an understanding of ethical considerations and learn how to adapt mindfulness interventions for military culture from a trauma-informed approach. By the end of the course, mental health professionals will be equipped to incorporate mindfulness into their work to support the recovery of trauma in the military population.
